Green Beans

GreenTech sources and processes green coffee directly in Lam Dong and Dak Nong provinces — two core Robusta-producing provinces within Vietnam’s Central Highlands (Tây Nguyên). Robusta is grown at 400–800 m on basalt-rich red soil, producing the high-density beans and strong body that commercial roasters and instant coffee manufacturers specify.

Organic Robusta is available as a certified-lot option for buyers that require organic documentation. Availability, cert scope, and lot size are confirmed before quotation so the organic claim stays tied to the correct producer, crop, and shipment documents.

Arabica is sourced from the Da Lat growing area in Lam Dong Province at 1,000–1,500 m, where cooler temperatures develop the acidity and aromatic complexity that specialty and semi-specialty roasters require.

Vietnam supplies approximately 40% of global Robusta output. GreenTech matches buyer specifications with selected origin, processing and logistics partners, then confirms volume against the crop and shipment window.

Processing Methods

MethodProcessTypical Application
Natural (Dry)Whole cherry sun-dried on raised beds; pulp removed post-dryingStandard commercial Robusta; fuller body, lower acidity
Washed (Wet)Pulp removed mechanically; wet fermentation 24–36 h; washed and sun-driedCleaner cup profile; more consistent moisture
Wet PolishedWashed parchment polished to remove silver skinUniform appearance; preferred by automated espresso roasting lines
Honey / Semi-washedPulp removed; mucilage left intact during dryingIntermediate sweetness and body; available for specialty lots

Commercial export volumes ship primarily as Cleaned or Color Sorted finished grades. Color sorting applies a final optical pass to eliminate discoloured beans after screen grading.

Roasted Coffee

GreenTech offers roasted coffee in whole bean and ground formats, processed at partner facilities in Ho Chi Minh City and Lam Dong. Suitable for private label brands, distributors, and food service buyers who need Vietnam-origin roasted coffee without importing green beans for their own roasting operation.

Robusta-forward blends are the standard, matched to espresso and filter applications. Arabica single-origin and Robusta/Arabica blends are available on request.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order quantity for Vietnamese green coffee?

Standard MOQ is 1 × 20ft FCL — approximately 19–21 MT depending on grade and packaging type. LCL shipments are available on request for smaller initial orders.

What is Screen 18 Robusta and why does it matter?

Screen 18 refers to beans retained on a 7.14 mm round-hole screen. Larger, uniform beans roast more evenly across the drum, reducing over/under-roast variation. Grade 1 Screen 18 requires ≥ 90% retention above that screen size.

What is the difference between Cleaned and Color Sorted coffee?

Cleaned lots pass through screen grading and gravity table separation. Color Sorted adds a final optical pass removing discoloured beans, achieving tighter tolerances: Black ≤ 0.2%, Broken ≤ 0.5%, Foreign Matter ≤ 0.1% versus Cleaned at Black ≤ 0.5%, Broken ≤ 1%, Foreign Matter ≤ 0.5%.

Is Organic Robusta available?

Yes. Organic Robusta is available as a certified-lot option. Availability and lot size are confirmed before quotation. The organic certificate covers the specific producer, crop year, and shipment.

What certifications cover each shipment?

The document package is confirmed before contract and includes an SGS pre-shipment inspection report, ISO 22000:2018 records, a Vietnamese MARD phytosanitary certificate, and C/O Form B. China-bound supply requires GACC registration.

What is the lead time from order to vessel loading?

Green beans: 15–25 days. Roasted coffee: 15–20 days. Instant/PDS: 20–30 days. All from confirmed purchase order.

Can we request samples before placing an order?

Yes. Qualified buyers can request samples of any available grade or format. Green beans samples (1–2 kg) are provided at no charge; the buyer covers courier fees. Roasted and instant samples are provided subject to minimum quantities.

Do you export to China?

Yes. GreenTech is GACC-registered and includes C/O Form B with China-bound shipments, enabling preferential tariff rates under the ASEAN–China FTA.
